As far as propaganda he said you can find information on the the plight of the Uighurs, and criticism of Chinese president Xi Jinping. And the president of TikTok put forth the plan several times in his congressional hearing in which their data would be double encrypted and controlled by American company Oracle as a safeguard from Chinese access.
On the other hand, American social media are controlled by the FBI and intelligence agencies, it seems, so maybe that's what they want, total control. It occurred to me they could also go after conservative social media like Truth Social or Rumble.
I have never used tiktoc or many of the other social platforms. I wouldn't doubt that American social media is the worst for invasion of privacy and collecting data. In some respects, we are already more communist than China.

I get an email saying that there was an attempted login from a location or device they don't recognize and I would be able to after a few days but I still can't login after a week or so and get more notifications. I was using a VPN, but I was using it before with no problem, and it should still recognize the device. However I tried signing again using the same info, but it didn't go through, and I noticed some text saying that will may already have my info from other contacts or something. In that case it was from me already been signed in, but when I looked at their explanation, apparently Facebook and Instagram, Meta, asks users to allow access to their contacts on their devices, and if someone else has youf contact info, well, then they have your information even if you're not a user, without your permission. No matter how many times Zuckerberg keeps promising to better protect privacy, and to trust him this time, laughing as he says it, it never happens.
I agree with Amy but what's sad is that when we talk about what is happening, many people who aren't awake look at us like unhinged conspiracy theorists. In due time however and thankfully, everyday more and more people see it on their own! :-)
