The electrolysis method for ozonated water generation is interesting. However, has anyone tested the heavy metal contamination after electrolysis? It’s highly possible that methods on the electrodes can degrade and leak into the water. Swirling in the mouth might be ok but drinking could pose a huge risk.

I am not aware of any vendors check the water quality after electrolysis. Would love to see the data if available.

I wanted to respond to your post regarding potential heavy metal contamination. My name is Tobias Segal, owner of Promolife, and I was responsible for launching and introducing the EZO3.

The manufacturer states that the materials used in the device are titanium-platinum alloy and 316 stainless steel do not leach into the water during operation. Based on my research, these materials are highly stable and commonly selected for applications where durability and corrosion resistance are important.

That said, I believe independent verification is valuable. To confirm water purity, I will be conducting my own testing for potential metal contamination and will share the results once they are available.

Thank you for raising the question and encouraging further discussion on this topic.

Dr. Rowen who did you use for your extraction? It would be good to have the name in my referral base if I need an extraction in the future. I was ordering PUR-C through your clinic, now that you have sold the clinic how can I continue to purchase this product. Thanks.

I used Dr. Dev Attri, a Santa Rosa dentist. Regarding Pur-C, please connect with the office at 707-578-7787 for assistance.

Does he follow the Huggins protocol?

Robert Jay Rowen, MD's avatar

I think you need to ask him how closely he does or does not follow. I've not had to be involved with amalgams for years

bryan's avatar

It wasn’t just about amalgams. Huggins said there were certain details with extractions, like removing the entire periodontal ligament. That is what I was referring to with my question. I guess Dr. R didn’t understand.

What is the impact of drinking ozonated water or does it dissipate too quickly?

Robert Jay Rowen, MD's avatar

Good question. It does dissipate. So, needs to be consumed quickly. It will have a good effect on mouth and stomach and mild systemic effect. I am using the little cup from Promolife every day.

I have a cracked tooth, the dentist i went to said hairline cracks are hard to identify at times. He thought it might be 31 it has an old amalgam filling and it has a distal cusp that received force from the opposing tooth. He thought it "might be" the problem. He quoted me $1,600 for a crown. I thought you must be kidding. If it has a vertical fracture it needs to be extracted not crowned. I am going to go to an endodontist to see if they can identify the cracked tooth. My neighbor who is a retired oral surgeon said an endodontist would use methyl blue to see if there is a crack in a non crowned tooth. I do not have enough information and i am not going to have a crown because someone thinks it is cracked. I may decide to have it extracted.

Dr Rowen are you using OG in the socket? Oraatec makes a cool little irrigation bottle. I may need to have a cracked tooth extracted and i am thinking ahead. I am going to buy an EZ03 unit. My John ellis distiller clogs up and needs to be taken apart and cleaned frequently from my hard water. It is a pain...

Robert Jay Rowen, MD's avatar

I am manually applying OG to the socket. I swish with ozonated water from the little unit a few times a day and have another device irrigating my mouth with ozonated water for 20-40 minutes a day. The latter is a prototype only.
