Dangerous Political Virus Infecting Medical Education

I know there are many political differences amongst the subscribers of this page. But, I do believe that one thing we can all agree on is that when someone is holding a scalpel over your unconscious body (or even piloting the craft in which you are flying), you want the VERY BEST qualified person, who otherwise is holding your life in his/hers.

So, I have some very bad news for you today in this post with two sources:

DEI virus infecting medical schools and WOKE MEDICINE KILLS

Whether or not you like conservative talk host Glenn Beck, the information in this broadcast is truly frightening. Sooner or later, you will need medical care. That is about as close to certainty as certainty gets. So, who do you want as your doctor? Someone who got in to medical school with grades and scores? Or someone who was able to bypass the latter and get in to medical school for doing the most outstanding job in his/her/its community to promote diversity, equity, inclusion, WOKEISM, and BLACK LIVES MATTER (INC) philosophy, and takes advanced classes on global warming?

I took the Hippocratic Oath. I am proud of that moment. These days, it appears that someone’s notion of what “social justice” is has become more important to a doctor’s education/background than if the doctor can define what a woman is. Now WOKEISM has infected medical school. Politics now in the medical treating field?

UCLA medical students have to take a mandatory course on structural racism in their first year. A lecturer for these students led a chant in “Free Palestine”, but NOT condemning butchery of hundreds of unsuspecting innocents from religious murderers. I wonder how a Jewish student would feel under those circumstances. Might they even still feel physically safe?

A UCSF guest professor gave a lecture there entitled “Diagnosing Whiteness and Antiblackness”. He says white people are genetically predisposed to perversion regarding African people and overtly stated that all whites are racially psychopathic. Medical schools are now teaching social change and how to talk race in clinical settings. Medical schools now seem to be a primary driving force in the escalating divisiveness malignantly spreading through society.

Oh, it gets better, gender classes are now included in curriculum. At Indiana School of Medicine, 1^st year students are taught that gender is a social construct and gender and sex fall into a continuum and is not binary.

23 of 25 US top medical schools have antiracism classes as a core part of their medical curriculum.

This has become the reality of our society. The facts of life. While a political Libertarian at heart, I was pleased that Obama won the White House, hoping that signaled that America had truly risen out of the ashes of racial separateness. However, he and his current successor did little to actually finish healing the problem that was already largely healed with his election. Rather, the clock has been turned back 175 years and the problem has been escalated by government and institutions alike turning in turning us on each other, as those (foreign adversaries) who seek out our demise said would be our downfall (an inside job).

UCLA students are asked to participate in climate activism. Schools are being taught about the “prison industrial” complex.  Diversity task force in an upstate New York medical school demands that students and staff must explicitly acknowledge that race and racism are the root of health disparities.  New faculty members are required to sign a pledge to accepting DEI. They must fight white supremacy, colonialism, [and] gender binary. They must honor all Indigenous ways of healing that have been historically marginalized by Western medicine. Now, that is a good one, and I can jump on that bandwagon. I’m shocked its there, but not at all shocked that the medical schools taking that one up for political correctness have not ponied up to Indigenous herbal and shamanic practices that they espouse politically. Double standard???

Beck says that science is no longer at the helm of medical schools. It has been replaced with political correctness. Admissions and faculty promotions in medical schools are now based on DEI rather than merit. You want this determining who operates on you?

In 2022, the head of the American Association of Medical Colleges said, “We believe that this topic (Diversity, Equity and Inclusion) deserves just as much attention from learners and educators at every stage of their careers as the latest scientific breakthroughs.” This actually now governs admission standards! Dozens of medical schools have made the MCAT optional (medical college admission test, which has been altered to address social issues and psychology over science). If you are opposed to a dozen different genders, you are out, even if you are an Einstein. You could be rejected from medical school if your opinion on progressive border policies is not politically correct! Maybe Jewish Einstein would be rejected today from higher learning if he would not swear allegiance to Hamas.

Well golly gee. Now I know why my work in Sierra Leone, risking my life, to bring ozone for Ebola got no attention. The scientists were busy putting WOKEISM into the front line rather than science and what actually works!  

Folks, I am 74. I intend to get whatever medical care I need from doctors at least 60 years of age. I don’t know what happened to my medical school, UCSF. But I don’t recognize it. Nor do I recognize my country. Here we have post graduate institutions that are supposed to be of science and now paving the way for an entire industry (medical), one incidentally which governs more that 20% of national expenditures, to be in harmony with DEI and WOKE OVER science. This is fantastic, for it was the Flexner report of 100 years ago which led to the demise of the “non-scientific” homeopathic and naturopathic professions and schools at the time in favor of the new “science” of synthetic petrochemical patented Pharmaceuticals. Now amazingly, that is being ditched for WOKE! No, I did not see that coming, but then again, I should have, knowing how top tier universities have become cancerous Progressive breeding grounds for destroying us from within. It would have to morph to even more respectable society classes than political science, attorneys, and business to clinch the neck noose. It simply had to be forced upon the doctors!

In retrospect, it is/was inevitable that this poison would reach medicine. “They” are opposed to racism, but it has reached a point where some have called for only black doctors to treat black patients. To me, that is racism at its finest. It is division of society at its best! Will I be forbidden to see my pain specialist, a man of color, as this insanity further divides us?

Please give Beck’s presentation a visit and consider “what” constitutes the knowledge and experience of your health care provider. We did not need WOKEISM or DEI in my training days. ALL patients were the same. And in my personal spiritual practices, I don’t need WOKEISM or DEI either. Every human being is a child of the Creator, and therefore a brother or sister to me. (Sorry if I offended anyone with the binary terms here. We had no “spectrum” of gender taught to us in medical school.) I am keeping it that way for me. Today’s new “religion” is WOKEISM and DEI, not the unity of man, and it is dividing us. While not directly related to WOKE in medicine, just turn to what is happening today at Columbia University where “people” claiming to be HAMAS have taken over its property creating an explosive situation at a major university. What is happening to us?

I am really afraid for you that this craziness might well impair you getting the very best medical care for whatever problem you might face in the future, as your provider gets denied education in the science of your body in favor of the political correctness of your race, religion, creed, sexual preference, gender identity, or skin color. Sorry, I don’t know physiologic differences in any the latter, other than certain conditions appearing in certain ethnic groups more than other groups, which is to be expected. Heck, even the medical machines you are put on might have been more determined by the company’s commitment to DEI than the performance of the devices. That IS happening. Maybe you will get a machine where the wires are not secured, similar to Boeing’s doors blowing out in mid air, and your ventilator quits.

Beck reports that many state medical boards now REQUIRE classes on racism in medicine. In 2021 the AMA got involved in a commitment to DEI doctrine. Through a series of orders begun on Biden’s first day in office, the agenda made it to Medicare which announced it would pay higher reimbursement rates to doctors who created and implement an anti-racism plan.  Yes, bonus Medicare payments to those who surrendered to DEI. Not long after George Floyd carnage, racism was declared a medical crisis! “White Coats for Black Lives” was created, which ultimately moved into obviously “related- to- American -medicine” – Hamas support.

There is a ton of more chilling detail in the podcast, including now including DEI performance of a company over the performance of its medical equipment in hospitals’ choice of machines your life might depend on! Including how the majority of the German medical establishment became  of necessity in creating and implementing the Nazi extermination programs, even to determining the exact amount of Zyklon B (cyanide pesticide) necessary to kill a human being.
