I hired a building biologist three weeks ago to survey my home and assess EMF exposure. Although I had done what I could to minimize it, I was immersed in plenty.

I am hiring a contractor to hardwire my home so I no longer need Wi-Fi. I relocated my bed away from the wall where the electrical panel is located. It’s not as good as I would like it, so I will have an electrician install a cutoff switch to easily turn electricity off to my bedroom.

It behooves each of us to think carefully about how to reduce exposure. But it does need a professional to tell you what is going on now and how to counter it.

Recently I have suggested the thought that state and federal legislatures should pass laws requiring all entities involved in 5G be required to post online, using zip codes, a map & a list indicating the location of every 5G "tower" they operate. Sadly when I suggest it I get the deer in the headlights look.

I assume the argument it would be the equivalent of an unfunded mandate would be used, however that would ring hollow. Since the entities inevitably already have such information it would be a simple effort to post it on line.

the only preventative, aside from actual public safety regulations which are strictly enforced, which I can think of is an expanded version of the tinfoil hat: a Faraday cage for homes, conductive cloth in clothing, and especially covering the braincase.

it's a shame that every so called regulatory agency in the US is owned and operated by the corporations they're supposed to protect us from.

Exposure to radio frequency energy can be hazardous. That's why our microwave ovens (which operate near some 5G frequencies) are built to shield us from it.

It is also important to remember that we are surrounded by RF energy. It even comes from stars including our own. Hazard is related to distance. I still remember a nasty burn in my teenage years from touching the antenna connector of an active WWII-vintage aircraft transmitter. But the energy from that same transmitter could only be detected by radio equipment 2 miles away.

RF energy falls off at the square of distance. For example, radio frequency energy at 2 feet is 1/4 of that at the source, at 20 feet only 1/400th and at 200 feet 1/40,000th of the source. Having a microwave or millimeter wave (as in use in some 5G systems) omnidirectional antenna on my roof 10 feet above my head, fed by a 1,000 Watt transmitter would be foolish. That same system 1/4 mile away would be no problem.

Most people will not be troubled by 5G towers simply because of distance. Some people are more sensitive to RF than most of the population, and may need to take precautions even with WiFi.

I worry more about holding a cell phone up to my head for a phone call because of the very short distance to the energy source.
