Dear Subscriber,
As promised, this is another in a series of ozone therapy reports I will make relative to the international ozone conference in Miami of November 2021.
One of the key speakers was Silvia Menendez, PhD of Cuba, now living in the USA. She led the Havana ozone research team for many years, which was funded, amazingly, by a 1 million dollar grant from Fidel Castro. Goal was to develop inexpensive treatments for the poor country. Silvia’s team did basic ozone biochemistry research on both animals and clinical studies on humans. She is considered a giant in ozone basic science on a par with Velio Bocci, MD of Italy (now deceased).
Ozone too Strong?
Many people familiar with the concept of oxidative stress are concerned that ozone, nature’s most powerful oxidant, can only lead to problems. Nothing can be further from the truth. Ozone therapy induces a hormetic effect, a cascade of biochemical reactions very favorable to you. In layman’s terms, consider a forest fire. Firefighters tame it with fire itself – a backfire. Ozone behaves similarly.
Ozone therapy induces a key pathway called Nrf2, nuclear factor erythroid-2. This pathway ties directly into the cell nucleus
