Wasabi Japonica - Part 1. A Possible Miracle for Cognitive Functioning and More

An esteemed colleague, Jim Novak, MD, whom Terri and I trained in ozone therapy sent me a small jar of a supplement called Wasabi Japonica, wasabi for short. If you’ve eaten sushi, you might be familiar with the green hot stuff you dip your sushi in, which is, or is represented as wasabi. Problem is, much of the served wasabi is fake, and made from horseradish with green coloring:
Jim’s kindness in sending me the sample piqued my interest in wasabi. This two part report is a summary of my current investigation of the good stuff.
A recent new study from Japan’s Tohoku University brings good news for sushi lovers who partake in real wasabi. (But you don’t need to eat sushi. I don’t). The report suggests that nutrients in wasabi may boost cognitive functioning – both long and short-term memory. The researchers were very surprised, though they were aware of the health promoting properties of wasabi I will discuss in part 2.
They knew that wasabi was linked to a wealth of health benefits such as antibiotic, anti-cancer and anti-inflammatory properties, and more. (See link below) Click here to see its chemical structure.
However, they were “surprised” to see a “dramatic change” in participants’ cognition:
“The improvement was really substantial,”
