Uncoupling Mitochondria for Weight Loss and Health Benefits, Part 2

I want to finish up information you can use to assist in losing weight. In a previous post, I mentioned bioflavonoids which can uncouple mitochondria to “waste” energy. That means you will burn calories without that energy put to use for anything but generation of heat. Carb calories will simply burn without being converted to fat. Fat will also burn, generating heat. It is like idling your car. It won’t go anywhere, but the fuel is being burned. (Not great for your car and environment if you leave the engine running, but you are not a mechanical machine. You are a biological machine that can benefit by such a process! You can “empty” your “gas” (fat) tank!) The energy goes out as heat, not storage. There are a few other ways to assist this process.
1. Narrow your eating window. I am now convinced that we should keep our intake of calories to no more than 6 hours in a day. The longer period of not eating will encourage your body to slip into ketosis and burn the fat you don’t want. This permits your mitochondria to switch back and forth between burning carbs and burning fats.
