The Science of Essential Fatty Acids and the Toxic Effects of Adulterated Fatty Acids on Health. Part 2
#30 Part 2 2023 The Rowen Premium Report
Dear Subscriber,
I just finished assisting Terri in a very intense 3 day ozone workshop in our office training doctors from as far away as Taiwan, Israel, and Ecuador in the most advanced applications of ozone therapy. We provide hands-on workshops where professionals can leave, return to offices, and get to working with amazing ozone applications the day they get back. One key therapy we teach is ozone dialysis or EBOO. It is growing in popularity VERY quickly. However, the set ups for this are extremely expensive, and which costs must be passed on to the patient. We teach a very novel innovation where most any ozone generator can be very inexpensively adapted to provide this treatment without the huge price tag (almost 30,000 USD) for a proprietary set up with very limited ozone applications. Our attendees were most grateful for the training and instruction. I will post a video of their comments on our YouTube channel in the coming days. Terri and I feel our lives are blessed with the comments from attendees that our work has touched the lives of so many by teaching and training physicians and allied health professionals to bring these therapies to thousands. We will have another in a few to several months. Interested professionals can contact us for information.
In this second installment on fatty acids, I want to feature foods with natural omega oils as Nature provided in comparison to what man has done with the oils. But first, I want to bring forward the essential need for omega 6 essential fatty acids, which may fly in the face of what you hear from other non-Western alternative medical journalists.
Omega 6 is, without doubt, the more important of the essential fatty acids we need. These fatty acids help build healthy membranes to our cells and all the organelles inside, particularly mitochondria. The two double bonds of linoleic acid (LA) are critical for oxygen entry into the cell necessary for ALL of its functions. But omega oils go further.
The omega oils are the raw material for making a host of downstream metabolites. LA is the raw material for a Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde fatty acid called arachidonic acid (AA). AA is a two-edged sword and has gotten a bad and unfair rap. AA is the raw material for inflammatory line of prostaglandins, including the dreaded thromboxane (promotes inflammation and thrombosis). Because of that, most health people have forgotten or ignore the fact that AA is the raw material for your body’s most important vascular lubricator, prostacyclin, which counteracts thromboxane and inflammation. AA goes both ways, and will go the right way if your diet is clean. YOU NEED PROSTACYCLIN! You will see here that fatty acids stored in your cell membrane get converted to AA by enzymes. Then look at the next levels. You will see a series of steps that convert AA to PGI2. PGI2 IS prostacyclin. Also note that the COX1 and COX 2 enzymes are needed to start the conversion process on the right side of the diagram. Now the NSAID drugs inhibit COX enzymes.
The malevolent pHARMa industry figured that inhibiting these enzymes will reduce inflammation by lowering conversion of AA to PGH2 and subsequently less thromboxane. I studied this diagram a generation ago and publicly predicted that the COX2 drugs so liberally prescribed for pain would lead to heart attacks because inhibiting these enzymes would also lead to less prostacyclin. I believe I was the first to openly sound the warning, though, without a doubt, Merck knew it as well. Sure enough, the COX 2 inhibitor Vioxx lead to the vascular deaths of tens of thousands of Americans before it was pulled from the market, but not before Merck made bazillions.
