This is a difficult report for me to bring to you. I’ve repeatedly suggested an organic fair trade dark chocolate as a “relatively healthy” treat. Dark chocolate carries less destructive sugar, and far more of the beneficial cacao bioflavonoids than milk chocolate. However, there is a “dark” side to the equation, and it affects me as well. I enjoy some dark chocolate most every day, and sometimes, have even encouraged patients to consume it as a source of very beneficial cocoa bioflavonoids.
