The Affordable Care Act is getting Far Less Affordable. Likewise - Your Own Insurance
#71 2025 The Rowen Report
Dear Subscriber,
I was hotly opposed to Obamacare. And for many reasons.
Centralized governments fail, always. It is only a matter of time. When the Bolsheviks established the USSR, Lenin wanted a nation of states (Republics) and for them maintaining their sovereignty. Stalin crushed that when he grabbed power, and we all know what then happened, and what has happened with similar “experiments”.
Our nation was founded as a central government of limited power. Article 1 section 8 of the Constitution should be a mandatory read for everyone in school, but who reads it anymore? At the time, states were sovereign, and delegated certain of their powers to the central government. And wisely so.
Here are the delegated powers:
The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes, duties, imposts and excises, to pay the debts and provide for the common defense and general welfare of the United States; but all duties, imposts and excises shall be uniform throughout the United States;
To borrow money on the credit of the United States;
To regulate commerce with foreign nations, and among the several states, and with the Indian tribes;
To establish a uniform rule of naturalization, and uniform laws on the subject of bankruptcies throughout the United States;
To coin money, regulate the value thereof, and of foreign coin, and fix the standard of weights and measures;
To provide for the punishment of counterfeiting the securities and current coin of the United States;
To establish post offices and post roads;
To promote the progress of science and useful arts, by securing for limited times to authors and inventors the exclusive right to their respective writings and discoveries;
To constitute tribunals inferior to the Supreme Court;
To define and punish piracies and felonies committed on the high seas, and offenses against the law of nations;
To declare war, grant letters of marque and reprisal, and make rules concerning captures on land and water;
To raise and support armies, but no appropriation of money to that use shall be for a longer term than two years;
To provide and maintain a navy;
To make rules for the government and regulation of the land and naval forces;
To provide for calling forth the militia to execute the laws of the union, suppress insurrections and repel invasions;
To provide for organizing, arming, and disciplining, the militia, and for governing such part of them as may be employed in the service of the United States, reserving to the states respectively, the appointment of the officers, and the authority of training the militia according to the discipline prescribed by Congress;
To exercise exclusive legislation in all cases whatsoever, over such District (not exceeding ten miles square) as may, by cession of particular states, and the acceptance of Congress, become seat of the government of the United States, and to exercise like authority over all places
purchased by the consent of the legislature of the state in which the same shall be, for the erection of forts, magazines, arsenals, dockyards, and other needful buildings; —And
To make all laws which shall be necessary and proper for carrying into execution the foregoing powers, and all other powers vested by this Constitution in the government of the United States, or in any department or officer thereof.
I think there was incredible wisdom here. The rest of government powers was reserved to the states and People.
Do you see anything here even remotely related to health matters? How about getting involved with personal insurance of ANY kind? Congress was given the power to “regulate” commerce. Not to shutter it. Congress and agencies have abused this power to KILL movement of health or medical related devices that do not conform to the will of the agencies or the Deep State behind the agencies. This is one reason why healing wonders from Wilhelm Reich, or the Rife microscope and ancillary methods are no longer with us. In fact, the FDA is the only agency in our history that actually burned books. We are using light therapy today to heal wounds and do more. But one Darius Dinshah was using colored light generations ago to heal a lot of maladies, and his life was destroyed. Color therapy is now coming back.
Today the Fraud and Deception Administration (FDA) has a regulation on the book declaring ozone to be a toxic gas with no known medical uses. Where did the power to do that come from. Anyway, that is an outright LIE. Ozone, to the lungs, is as toxic as WATER, either of which when inhaled can harm the lungs, and in the case of inhaled water, produce instant death. But any other way, both are quite useful for cleansing and healing. This FDA affront effectively has killed ozone promotion rather than properly regulate it. (The power to regulate at the time may have meant the power to “make regular”, not to obstruct or destroy).
In recent memory, we had a nationwide fight over another seizure of power by the feds – intrusion into PERSONAL health matters. Obamacare originally mandated, at the federal level, personal health insurance, but the mandate was removed in 2019. Obamacare still exists, passed with the false promise of “affordable health care”. What BS. Now, as you will see below, Obamacare is poised to impose a 20% premium hike, and on those least capable of “affording” it. Obamacare was touted as the solution to the health cost crisis. It survived the Senate by one vote, which was obtained by a fraudulent government charge against an Alaska senator which led to him not running and replaced by a Leftist pro-fluoride idiot for a single term (lets you know how that senator was considered by his own constituents). The Obamacare survived the Supreme Court when Justice Roberts decided it was a tax, a decision that violates all forms of logic.
Let’s examine further. Government literally destroyed true health care by destroying the free market, which free market determines success of failure of products and companies by product performance. We have a totally failed system today where costs are skyrocketing, and we get less and less, remaining ill with bodies that cannot heal. Why? BECAUSE OF FEDERAL GOVERNMENT INTERFERENCE. Therapies that support healing are suppressed while synthetic petrochemical pharmaceuticals, which can be patented for profits, which are used to buy politicians and FDA, are given a monopoly. Furthermore, this system is aided and abetted by the state medical boards, staffed by doctors trained and brainwashed by this corrupt system. The system encourages attacks and destruction of the lives and livelihoods of doctors who defy this paradigm, not dissimilar to the Catholic Church inquisitions of the not-too-distant past.
In 1986 or so, I wrote a column for an Anchorage daily paper entitled “Remaining Ill with Bodies that Cannot Heal”. I plainly stated that until the corrupt system pays attention to the three fundamental causes of dis-ease, we will pay more and get less, remaining ill with bodies that cannot heal. That was nearly 40 years ago!!!!
It was about to get much worse under Clinton when Hilary tried to get in cookbook medicine. The government would pick and choose what diseases you were allowed to have and then pick and choose the treatments you could get. We have something like that today with Medicare. For reimbursement, you must have the right code (disease you are allowed to have), and then Medicare permits certain treatments and axes others. For example, for osteoarthritis of the knee, you will be allowed NSAID toxic drugs or a knee replacement, but not allowed reimbursement for ozone injection or for us to evaluate you for an interference in your nervous system that could be causing the knee issue. Hence, unless you can afford 1/10 the cost of conventional treatment out of your own pocket for us, you will be forced into reimbursed, but toxic and/or dangerous therapies. Insurance, including Obamacare, follows the corrupt Medicare paradigm designed to empty your pockets and feed Pharma.
Now consider my own case I just posted. I was getting pain at the base of my thumb. This government imposed slick system would have condemned me to a life of toxic cartilage destroying NSAID drugs. But being a physician in the know, I was able to identify a source. Then, out of my own pocket, I had the source treated (dental). And I am able to avoid potentially destroying my body with drugs. But I paid for the issue myself. Same goes for those who come to us for knee or other issues, where causes, not cover ups, are addressed.
I do not like conventional insurance. I have proposed solutions many times to the media and even to politicians, the most recent being Kennedy when he was a candidate for president. I believe in insurance for major medical, like being run over by a Mac truck. There is no better acute crisis medicine/health care than our system. And that kind of care is acutely expensive. I think everyone should have (but voluntarily) major medical insurance. But that is where it ends. Most costs in America now are for chronic degenerative disease where American medicine is not only an abject failure but assists in the degeneration and escalation of costs. I’d like money to stay in your pocket, rather than corrupt insurance or government, and YOU decide where it goes based on your own research about what might be best for you, and not some adjuster or bureaucrat deciding or denying you care that might actually FIX your problem.
The demise of healing, in my opinion, came with the discovery of penicillin which led to the illusory Western concept of the “silver bullet” for treating disease. This was exploited to the next galaxy by Rockefeller Medicine Men through government agencies (like FDA and medical boards).
Infections can be cured, in most cases, though that percentage is rapidly winding down as infecting agents get smarter than us. Modern medicine, through an unholy interlocking of government, insurance, and corporate interest has sacrificed lives and our welfare. Neither Obamacare, Hilarycare, nor Rockefeller Care are ever going to make “health care” more “Affordable”. You can take your car, which won’t move, to engine specialist after specialist. But if he/they doesn’t have the training or intelligence to see the tires have no air, and connect that to the vehicle’s inability to move, you will see your pockets emptied and you literally go nowhere.
If you like my thought processes, please consider a message to HHS Secretary Kennedy to take me up on my offer to be an unpaid advisor to helping reform medicine in this country to one of genuine “HEALTH” care instead of “disease maintenance.” The current administration and its officers might well be our last and only chance to fundamentally address “inflating the flat tires” of the current medical paradigm with adequate pressure.
Expect sizzling premium hikes in this sector.
I wish we did have excellent health!

Health insurance through Affordable Care Act faces big premium hikes
Paige Winfield Cunningham
Washington Post
Health insurers are proposing double-digit price hikes for plans sold through Affordable Care Act marketplaces, as extra federal subsidies for premiums expireat the end of the year and President DonaldTrump’s tariffs threaten higher pharmaceutical prices.
The median monthly premium increase would be 15 percent, according to a new analysis of insurer filings conducted by the nonpartisan health policy organization KFF.
The jump in costs would mark the largest premium hike in seven years, according to KFF’s analysis of preliminary filings by 105 insurers in 19 states and the District.
Those higher prices affect up to 24 million Americans who receive insurance through marketplaces and havestruggled with affordability for years because of volatile costs.
I just canceled my Regence of Oregon Bronze plan because it is UNaffordable for my family of 4. The premium is $2,000 per month and we hardly use it. Not sure what to do now.
I opted out of health insurance in July 2016 and switched to a health sharing ministry. My wife and I pay about $700 a month with a 1500 deductible for the health sharing plan. 1M per condition limit and no coverage for RX. Most RX is poison, so I do not care to pay into this corrupt system that is killing people and sucking the life out of our economy.
