Dear Subscriber,
Strep throat is spreading across the country. Even our local socialist rag had a story on it. It is a common infection among children and even adults. Untreated, it can lead to serious complications, including heart valve damage (rheumatic fever) and kidney damage. I had one such complication as a child, post-strep glomerulonephritis, and thankfully, had a full recovery.
Strep problems largely became a thing of the past with the advent of penicillin, the drug that transformed American medicine into treating medical conditions with a “magic” pill rather than a holistic way of life.
Antibiotics gushed their way into “health care” with huge force, and even demand from patients ignorantly demanding the wonder drugs for just about everything. I remember even penicillin chewing gum in the 1950s. But we have seen the mess antibiotics have left, as they have largely been misused, both in humans and animals.
Today, amazingly, strep has still not developed resistance to the common drug- penicillin. I am quite surprised, considering most all other bugs have done so. So, strep is still rather easy to treat. But its cousin, staph, has not remained so friendly and has become highly resistant to generally “safe” penicillin. What if you get infected with a resistant bug? What alternatives do you have?
Several generations ago, America boasted an amazing therapy that was reported to cure, within hours to a few days, most all strep and staph infections, and even blood infections (sepsis) caused by organisms that are highly resistant now.

Ozone therapy, intravenous vitamin C, have also been used. But I would have to admit that I would offer penicillin or a derivative to a patient with strep for medical legal reasons, as well as the knowledge that these have been clearly shown to reduce complications. I have had patients refuse penicillin drugs. They did well with ozone, and combinations of supplements of oil of oregano, cloves, goldenseal, garlic, olive leaf extract, zinc lozenges, grapefruit seed extract, and others. I would not want to be responsible for advising someone not to take penicillin in today’s legal environment for strep, a condition easy to treat conventionally.
To Your Excellent Health,

As always, an important update on health matters. Have you any thoughts on how humans acquire these streptococcal diseases?
Remember the ridicule Donald Trump suffered when on he suggestion an oxidizer or ultraviolet light could be used internally to treat Covid1-19?
