SSRI Drugs Clearly Associated with Osteoporosis and Bone Mineral Loss
#23 2023 The Rowen Premium Report
Dear Subscriber,
If you or someone you know is taking a drug for depression, which is of the SSRI class (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors), you could be at significant risk for osteoporosis, the disorder of bone thinning and fracture.
Many studies have now emerged emphasizing this threat. SSRI drugs appear to thin bones and the effect is dependent on dose, exposure duration, age, sex, time of exposure. The drugs directly affect bone metabolism! “Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, first line in the pharmacological treatment of mood and anxiety disorders, have also been shown to negatively affect bone metabolism”. “SSRI therapy in generalized anxiety disorder was found to be related to decreased BMD values (bone mineral density)”.
Doctors hand out these drugs like water. Of course, since they practice the party line, they are not considered a danger to the public. But those that speak out against the COVID party line, or might have fabricated tax issues are a danger and must be cordoned off.
Please permit me to give you some quotes from published articles on this matter. Then I will comment on both the drugs and considerations for depression.
