New Superbug on the Block - Doubling its Lethal Infection in People and Spreading Quickly
#8 2023 The Rowen Report
Dear Subscriber,
Well, we now have another pathogen to be concerned about. Actually, the warnings on this one are real, but it is important to realize that the risk is negligible to the average “healthy” person, but is concerning for those medically compromised.
The organism is a fungus, candida auris. It is extremely hardy. Can colonize surfaces most easily, colonize people and travel with them, and is highly resistant to drugs. It is in many states in the USA and the incidence of infection has doubled in the past year, and the doubling rate is likely to increase.
Susceptible people will be those with medical devices such as catheters going inside their bodies to permit entry of the organism. We all have lethal organisms on or in us. That is the nature of the planet and the balance of nature. But we have immune systems to pick them off as soon as they pose a threat. Those immunocompromised will have less ability to fend off the bug, and those with catheters or medical devices entering their bodies will have a welcome sign out for candida auris.
Fungal organisms are, by nature, very difficult to treat. Standard antibiotics are useful for bacteria infection, but not necessarily for fungi. Drugs for fungi are also generally more toxic to us. This bug is highly resistant as well.
So, what to do? While the report says that hospitals are scrambling to prevent spread by cleaning surfaces with bleach and UV light, I am saddened that these measures or very similar actual treatment measures have been around for scores of years and dissed by the government and profession. Ultraviolet blood irradiation therapy was developed 90 years ago, and is still in use today. Ozone therapy has been around for a century and ozone kills bugs instantly while bleach takes significantly longer. The mechanisms are very similar. You cannot give bleach to a person intravenously, but you can give ozone. Fungi are highly susceptible to oxidants, and that is what an intact immune system does to ward off fungi (and bacteria). Your immune system hurls oxides of chlorine at bugs. Bleach is a similar form of an oxide of chlorine that your immune system uses.
Sadly, for those dying of this pathogen, medicine would rather let them die than try something not patented or “approved” by the Pharma controlled FDA. I was asked once to go to Texas to save the life of an airline pilot, husband and father, who was dying of a “superbug”. Hospital refused treatment because ozone is not FDA approved and the poor soul departed, untreated, right in front of his family.
I cannot tell you if ozone or ultraviolet therapy will save a life from a systemic infection with candida auris, not knowing of a case so treated. I just know that I would sure try it. No known risk to the therapy, and there is everything to gain.
Please know where your nearest oxidation physician is. We maintain a list of those we’ve trained on our office website.

better than bleach which is NaOCl
would be nice if there were studies confirming effectiveness in serious infections
