Nattokinase - A Wonder Supplement for PREVENTING and REVERSING Vascular Disease and Clot Risks. Huge Supplement Price Break as Well.
#64 2023 The Rowen Report
Dear Subscriber,
Years ago, I was introduced to a unique dietary supplement which works differently for thick blood than pharmaceuticals. In fact, I don’t think there will ever be a synthetic patented petrochemical pharmaceutical that can do what this stuff does. It is an enzyme created by bacteria which ferment soybeans into a Japanese delicacy called natto.
Natto was discovered, in his studies on clots, by a Japanese scientist, Dr Hiroyuki Sumi, to dissolve them. He named the active agent “nattokinase”.
As early as 2003, the substance was found to protect the all important “intima” (inner lining) of arteries from thickening when exposed to an experimental damaging agent. It did so by limiting thrombus (clot) formation which otherwise would thicken the inner lining, which would reduce or occlude blood flow.
A more recent study was conducted on humans. It is now found to have antiatherosclerosis and lipid-lowering effects in addition to its clot busting properties. The study featured in this post looked at 1062 human participants. The dose used was 10,800 FU/day (fibrinolytic units) taken orally for 12 months. The researchers found that NK “effectively managed the progression of atherosclerosis and hyperlipidemia with a significant improvement in lipid profile”. This is a most pleasant finding and one I had not expected. I had thought NK’s effect was limited to clot busting, which I will elaborate on more below. But here we see positive effects on lipids, for which most conventional doctors use petrochemical drugs.
The best news in this report is that the researchers observed a “significant reduction” in the thickness of the carotid artery intima/media and the size of carotid plaque. Improvement rates hit 2/3 to 96%. Interestingly, it took higher doses to see lipid lowering. Just 3600 FU/d did not have efficacy. And for those who have an unhealthy lifestyle and/or obese, the lipid lowering effects were even more pronounced.
The report tells us you could expect a drop in triglycerides (fats) of 15.7% and of cholesterol a drop of 15.9%. This is certainly safer than the potentially toxic statin drugs, for which neither Terri nor I have ever written an original prescription, but doctors whip out their Rx pads immediately at any sign of heart or circulation problem.
Interestingly, the researchers believe that low dose aspirin might be synergistic with nattokinase. We’ve never used aspirin with nattokinase concerned about possible bleeding since aspirin inhibits one means of clotting (platelet aggregation) and nattokinase works on protein coagulation. However, this group reported no problems. And they found that vitamin K2 was also synergistic, possibly by this vitamin’s beneficial effect on putting calcium where it belongs – in your bones rather than in your arteries. Exercise enhances the effects of nattokinase!
The article ended : In conclusion, our data demonstrate that atherosclerosis progression and hyperlipidemia can be effectively managed with NK at a dose of 10,800 FU/day. The lower dose of 3,600 FU per day is ineffective. The dose of 10,800 FU/day is safe and well tolerated. Some lifestyle factors and the coadministration of vitamin K2 and aspirin lead to improved outcomes in the use of NK. Our findings provide clinical evidence on the effective dose of NK in the management of cardiovascular disease and challenge the recommended dose of 2,000 FU per day.
I have used nattokinase for over 25 years. My source has always been Allergy Research Group/Nutricology (ARG). Realizing the critical importance of activity of the enzyme, the company regularly assays their material to make sure it is what they say it is. I have generally used 2000 FU (1 capsule) twice daily for a total of 4000 FU daily and have seen wonderful results in the prevention of TIAs and stroke. For those at higher risk, we’ve used 8000 per day in divided doses. We would not want to risk vulnerable patients, say with atrial fibrillation, with a product we did not know was regularly checked. We are happy to say that we’ve treated hundreds of such patients and have not had even one event. (I’ll elaborate on a very interesting case in an upcoming premium report).
I am really pleased with this medical report that our treatments, based on our own clinical observations were in line with what the researchers found. With the report, we will likely move to 10,000 FU or 5 capsuled daily since the higher doses will likely add to efficacy by improving lipid parameters as well as directly improving arterial thickness (disease) in addition to clot prevention we’ve seen at lower doses.
We have used nattokinase for Lyme disease to help dissolve fibrin where the spirochete can hide. Also, dissolving the fibrin with nattokinase will make the blood a bit less thick and likely have a positive effect on blood pressure. Thicker blood will need higher pressure to move it along.
If you have interest in an assayed Nattokinase supplement, you can connect with ARG and use the code 10-0051 for a very generous 20% discount off the regular price. You must call them to get this discount, however. This discount code is applicable to ALL of their products. You can find their products here: https://www.allergyresearchgroup.com/products-a-z/. You actually can order online, but you would have to register as a patient, establish an account with them. You can do that here: https://www.allergyresearchgroup.com/login.php?action=create_account. Then use the code 10-0051
I checked. Amazon does not give you a better deal than this. And ARG, in our opinion, is in the top, top tier of nutritional supplement companies, for making sure their products contain what they have on the label. This policy began with the company’s incredible Founder, Steve Levine, PhD, whom I met in 1896 and am friends with him to this day. (I sat in his house and, simply liking the taste, I downed 300 tablets of his Chlorella product and had amazing and medically reportable detox reaction a few days later to a steroid suppressed exposure to poison oak 40 years before).
If you know others who could use ARG products, please forward this report on to them. They can use the code as well.

This research is a very promising breakthrough for those with vascular and lipid challenges, as well as clotting risks. I will have a more detailed report on exactly what we have done for stroke prevention in an upcoming post in the Premium section, and retell the amazing story of my father, who was plagued with atrial fibrillation issues and TIAs, while on conventional doctor prescribed poisons. We do use another ARG product for this: Delta Fraction Tocotrienols, a better form of vitamin E, generally 1-2 per day, which I currently take for my eyes.
To Your Excellent Health!

PS My thanks to subscriber David A for prompting me to get this information out to you.
I agree with the lowest doses. I don't use aspirin. I use essential fatty acids which I will discuss soon. Thank you.
I would take nattokinase in divided doses. I will have more information in the Premium section in an upcoming post.
