JAMA Report Shows Aspirin Not Only Doesn't Prevent Stroke but Raises Risk. Something I've Said for Decades
#112 2023 The Rowen Report
Dear Subscriber,
We now have another report from a major journal that I was about 25 years ahead of my time. I have never recommended to any patient to take aspirin to reduce the risk of stroke (as well and attempt to reduce the risk of any vascular disease).
Lo and behold, a large study reported in JAMA now shows that I was correct. Yet despite many doctors being ahead of their time, from COVID to aspirin, medical boards across the country have seen fit, in their delegated mission to “protect the public” to lift the licenses or otherwise discipline or silence those who do no actual harm. You might ask your legislator how he/she can condone or not reign in medical board tyranny against doctors whose accuser is the state and who have not done proven actual harm to patients.
Aspirin is a platelet poison. That means it will, to whatever extent, prevent platelet aggregation in the formation of a clot, but suppose the clot is needed? In the case of aspirin, by inhibiting clot formation where it is needed, even low dose (baby aspirin) enhances your risk of a hemorrhagic stroke. And, it does not prevent ischemic (lack of circulation) stroke either. Doctors were bamboozled by the post Nazi pharmaceutical company Bayer to promote this coal tar derivative as a miracle prevention for vascular disease. Doctors then passed on that false promise to the public with false advice and information patients paid for, and which advice is actually harmful to the patient. And you wonder why we are getting sicker and sicker and our costs soar? Government is in bed with industry!
I don’t see medical boards or regulatory agencies going after scams like this. Further, Merck murdered tens of thousands of Americans hiding vascular damage of a different class of anti-inflammatory – Vioxx – a COX 2 inhibitor. Aspirin is a COX 1 inhibitor. Little difference in overall toxicity and therapeutic effects in the body between these classes of synthetic petrochemical pharmaceuticals.
I have provided in my journalism information on alternatives to taking chemical poisons. In my career spanning decades, we’ve not seen one gastrointestinal bleed or vascular event due to a recommendation for aspirin. Yet the public is routinely denied the wisdom of seers based on political agendas, not truly protecting the public.
I believe one can accomplish all the perceived positive effects of aspirin for circulation with God made nutrients, like nattokinase, lumbrokinase, essential fatty acids, vitamin E, garlic, curcumin and more. I’ve laid it out in my Substack over the years.
Again, I do not know of anyone who has had a bleed on the nutritional supplement program we’ve worked with for many years. My father had a bleed on aspirin and Plavix forced on him by his conventional doctors. (They threatened to fire him as a patient if he did not take their snake oil poisons). While he was in a coma induced by their having him take Lexapro, and a simultaneous bleed due to the other drugs (at age 90), in fear of me, they agreed to stop their poisons and administer my suggested nutrients through his feeding tube. His bleed corrected. He awakened 6 weeks later not knowing what happened to him, and lived another 6 years with my mom without any bleeds or strokes on my cocktail.
Who is the danger to society? The inebriated (by drugs or alcohol OR Pharma brainwashing) physician who follows the “party line” or the doc out of the box who is politically incorrect? If you want positive change in the medical jail we are in, you must demand changes from those who ask for your votes. Virtually all incumbents are bought out by industry. I hope to interview a few candidates on my podcast who profess otherwise.
Wishing you a Happy Holiday, but most important, a safe one! And, if you have the opportunity, please recommend this page to a friend. Thank you.

Results Among 19 114 older adults (10 782 females [56.4%]; median [IQR] age, 74 [71.6-77.7] years), 9525 individuals received aspirin and 9589 individuals received placebo. Aspirin did not produce a statistically significant reduction in the incidence of ischemic stroke (hazard ratio [HR], 0.89; 95% CI, 0.71-1.11). However, a statistically significant increase in intracranial bleeding was observed among individuals assigned to aspirin (108 individuals [1.1%]) compared with those receiving placebo (79 individuals [0.8%]; HR, 1.38; 95% CI, 1.03-1.84). This occurred by an increase in a combination of subdural, extradural, and subarachnoid bleeding with aspirin compared with placebo (59 individuals [0.6%] vs 41 individuals [0.4%]; HR, 1.45; 95% CI, 0.98-2.16). Hemorrhagic stroke was recorded in 49 individuals (0.5%) assigned to aspirin compared with 37 individuals (0.4%) in the placebo group (HR, 1.33; 95% CI, 0.87-2.04).
Conclusions and Relevance This study found a significant increase in intracranial bleeding with daily low-dose aspirin but no significant reduction of ischemic stroke. These findings may have particular relevance to older individuals prone to developing intracranial bleeding after head trauma.

It is amazing how much in medicine that we think we know is simply not true, and how this “knowledge” been held with such certainty. I am beginning to think we are living through a medical dark ages. Hopefully the Covid debacle will light the fire that leads us out.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge, and holding to the truth. Best wishes for a wonderful Christmas and New Year.
Thank you. Acetaminophen is a liver poison!
