Information on Shipping Ozonated Glycerin
#66 2026 addendum The Rowen Report

I neglected in the #66 report to add important information on ozonated glycerin.
If you are purchasing ozonated glycerin at this time of year from any. vendor, please be aware that OG is labile in high heat. Tobias Segal of PURO3.com advised me he conducted tests on it and found that it degrades rather quickly at temperatures approaching 100ºF and that degradation accelerates as the temperature rises. As you know I have recommended refrigeration of the product for short term use, and freezer for long term. In the freezer, it is stable for many months. At room temperature, is will lose about 50% of its potency after 3 months. Sill quite useful, but less potent.
At this time of year, OG in transit could be held in hot warehouses, hotter delivery trucks, and the broiling insides of a black mailbox roasting in the sun. The kind of temperature in your mailbox would be enough to neutralize much, if not all, of the OG activity.
Please be sure whoever you purchase your OG from that it is shipped quickly and properly, preferably with a cooling pack inside the box, and make sure it is not put inside a mailbox in the. sun. You might be getting an inactive product if temperature is not considered. And, you will not be able to tell the difference by smell or taste.

PURO# is shipping with cold pack on request. If paying the extra price for that special shipping, likely a good idea to by several jars and freeze them.
OG can be tested with peroxide strips. Also ORP meter. Both have issues. I am using an ORP meter and my OG tests out at 600 minimum for my pass on it. Peroxide test strips are very slow to react.
