Bifidobacterium - a beneficial probiotic may be the reason Ivermectin works!!!
#29 2024 The Rowen Report
Dear Subscriber,
I just watched a revealing video of doctor and researcher Sabine Hazan in a forum “Federal Health Agencies and the COVID Cartel: What Are They Hiding?” chaired by Senator Ron Johnson, who has shown amazing open-mindedness to the crazed nightmare we were compelled in to. In this video, which you can watch in a few minutes at higher speed, Dr. Hazan reveals her research on two most interesting matters. 1) The presence of a simple organism in your gut may decidedly determine your outcome in a COVID infection, and 2) the drug ivermectin directly leads to an increase in this beneficial organism in your microbiome.
You know that the content of your gut, bacteria, literally is a regulating organ in your body, from regulating your brain with neuropetpides or neurotransmitters, to being a line of defense for your immune system. Hazan has shown much milder disease in those with Bifidobacterium (bifido) in their microbiome.
She also pointed out that babies have significant immune protection from this same symbiotic bug. It is found on mom’s nipple, passes into her baby with breast feeding, where the milk nourishes not only the baby but baby’s gut friends. Bifido colonization wanes with age.
Ivermectin, being a product of fermentation of a cousin bacteria, was found to significantly increase bifido within 24 hours of taking it. This is exciting news to me, because when ivermectin stories first came out, I admit I did not understand how that compound had antiviral effects. It may not. It may work by helping a terrific gut friend to assist us.
But now her report gets even more dicey. She stated she found the mRNA “vaccines” destroy bifido. She knew she could not get this research published as it went against the national paradigm. So, instead, she chose to present this to an international group of fellow gastroenterologists, and beat out 6000 other abstracts to win an award for this novel research and discovery. Could destruction of bifida be a reason for the tragedies we are seeing in the genetically jabbed?
But it gets yet more dicey. Hazan published her theory about the mechanism of ivermectin in treating COVID. It was peer reviewed and accepted. 8-9 months later, it was retracted by the journal over her objection:
A Retraction of the Hypothesis and Theory Article
Microbiome-based hypothesis on Ivermectin's mechanism in COVID-19: Ivermectin feeds bifidobacteria to boost immunity
by Hazan, S. (2022). Front. Microbiol. 13:952321. doi: 10.3389/fmicb.2022.952321
The journal retracts the 11 July 2022 article “Microbiome-based hypothesis on Ivermectin's mechanism in COVID-19: Ivermectin feeds bifidobacteria to boost immunity.”
Following publication, concerns were raised regarding the scientific validity of the article. An investigation was conducted in accordance with Frontiers' policies. It was found that the complaints were valid and that the article does not meet the standards of editorial and scientific soundness for Frontiers in Microbiology; therefore, the article has been retracted. This retraction was approved by the Chief Editors of Frontiers in Microbiology and the Chief Executive Editor of Frontiers.
The author has not agreed to the retraction.
So, really good information, and more dots to connect regarding the abject corruption in medicine. Ron Johnson asked her about the corruption. Her response is that even the Pharma companies are not totally responsible themselves, but the corruption is held up by corruption of the global elite and their institutions. They own advertising, marketing, media, IRB (Institutional Review Boards which are the source of life and death for the ability to conduct and publish research), and the Pharma companies. She pointed out that real science in in constant evolution. Science is NOT “settled”. I myself was affected by their influence over media. Facebook censored me, and I would up here, actually a step up in my humble opinion.
Hazan concluded that Pharma is more influenced by the price of a stock than by the price of a life. I could not agree more.
Senator Johnson’s panel was apparently conducted in the Senate and can be found here: https://rumble.com/v4fpw4c-federal-health-agencies-and-the-covid-cartel-what-are-they-hiding.html
There were many wonderful speakers including Del Bigtree who pointed out the horrible autism epidemic. Dr. Sabine’s dissident testimony was wonderful and can be found at: 2:10:40.
Senator Johnson’s introduction is a must listen, where a high elected official addresses the poison of the global elite and the COVID cartel, which does not permit or tolerate second opinions. [It should be totally clear that we don’t have published science, but published dogma set up by the hidden elite. I don’t trust anything I read in the orthodox medical literature unless it passes my “common sense” test. Nothing about COVID did so.
We have an opportunity in November. We can vote for more years of the same, or a new generation of elected official, hopefully who, after the current lot of corrupt politicians are voted out, might step up and act as statesmen/stateswomen.
To Your Excellent Health,
Robert Jay Rowen, MD
PS This also helps me understand the high efficacy of my friend Howard Robins new probiotic product. It is liquid, never desiccated (which can kill the friendly bugs) and quite tasty. Called Drs. Biome, it is very rich in Bifido and can be found here. The code “OXYGEN” gets you a nice discount.

Abstract
Objective The study objective was to compare gut microbiome diversity and composition in SARS-CoV-2 PCR-positive patients whose symptoms ranged from asymptomatic to severe versus PCR-negative exposed controls.
Design Using a cross-sectional design, we performed shotgun next-generation sequencing on stool samples to evaluate gut microbiome composition and diversity in both patients with SARS-CoV-2 PCR-confirmed infections, which had presented to Ventura Clinical Trials for care from March 2020 through October 2021 and SARS-CoV-2 PCR-negative exposed controls. Patients were classified as being asymptomatic or having mild, moderate or severe symptoms based on National Institute of Health criteria. Exposed controls were individuals with prolonged or repeated close contact with patients with SARS-CoV-2 infection or their samples, for example, household members of patients or frontline healthcare workers. Microbiome diversity and composition were compared between patients and exposed controls at all taxonomic levels.
Results Compared with controls (n=20), severely symptomatic SARS-CoV-2-infected patients (n=28) had significantly less bacterial diversity (Shannon Index, p=0.0499; Simpson Index, p=0.0581), and positive patients overall had lower relative abundances of Bifidobacterium (p<0.0001), Faecalibacterium (p=0.0077) and Roseburium (p=0.0327), while having increased Bacteroides (p=0.0075). Interestingly, there was an inverse association between disease severity and abundance of the same bacteria.
Conclusion We hypothesise that low bacterial diversity and depletion of Bifidobacterium genera either before or after infection led to reduced proimmune function, thereby allowing SARS-CoV-2 infection to become symptomatic. This particular dysbiosis pattern may be a susceptibility marker for symptomatic severity from SARS-CoV-2 infection and may be amenable to preinfection, intrainfection or postinfection intervention.

The COVID-19 pandemic, caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus, mainly causes respiratory and intestinal symptoms and changes in the microbiota of patients. We performed a systematic search in major databases using “Bifidobacterium” and “COVID-19” or “SARS-CoV-2” as key terms to assess the relationship of the genus to COVID-19. After the selection steps, 25 articles were analyzed. Of these, eighteen were observational, and seven were interventional articles that evaluated the use of Bifidobacterium alone or in mix as probiotics for additional treatment of patients with COVID-19. All stages and severities were contemplated, including post-COVID-19 patients. Overall, Bifidobacterium was associated with both protective effects and reduced abundance in relation to the disease. The genus has been found to be abundant in some cases and linked to disease severity. The studies evaluating the use of Bifidobacterium as probiotics have demonstrated the potential of this genus in reducing symptoms, improving pulmonary function, reducing inflammatory markers, alleviating gastrointestinal symptoms, and even contributing to better control of mortality. In summary, Bifidobacterium may offer protection against COVID-19 through its ability to modulate the immune response, reduce inflammation, compete with pathogenic microbes, and maintain gut barrier function. The findings provide valuable insights into the relationship between the disease and the genus Bifidobacterium, highlighting the potential of microbiota modulation in the treatment of COVID-19.

Bifidobacteria, included in the $1 billion industry of probiotics, has been shown to be critical in inflammatory diseases, severe COVID-19, obesity, and the aging process. Our results, although preliminary suggest that SARS COV-2 mRNA vaccine decreases levels of bifidobacteria (P = 0.0065). Future studies will be needed to characterize the time course of this decrease in bifidobacteriaabundance, its impact on human health, and whether or not similar findings are seen with other vaccines
My doctor has had me on ivermectin ever since I was diagnosed with Squamous Cell Carcinoma in 2020. He said it was a cancer preventative.
Brilliant article....Re your Doctor's Biome Signature Probiotic Blend -I drink pure organic watermelon juice every day....watermelon is one of the highest fruits in alkaline....I drink watermelon juice each day because of its high alkaline content. And yes, it does make a difference to my gut and bowels. Dr. Ros.
